Letter of the Week: Bb

I know, I’m running late with my Letter of the Week, but here it is!!

The current Letter of the Week is “Bb”.  I had alot of choices with this letter, but I left off all the colors that start with “b”.  It’s possible that they might show up later this week, so keep a watch out!!

Activities for the Letter of the Week include writing practice in both ZB and DN font.  There’s also a “My Letter Bb Book” available in both fonts.  I don’t have the play-doh mats made yet, but they’ll be out sometime this week yet.  Just check back here for an update!!

You can find all my Letter of the Week activities in my 4Shared account as usual.

Also, I just wanted to note that I’m working on updating and reformatting (to PDF) alot of my old original files.  I hope to have my 4Shared updated soon with some new materials for you!!  Some of them I will list in a blog post, but the rest, I’ll more than likely list on the “educational printables” or the “Christian printables” pages.  I’ll be sure to let you know when it’s done though!!

If you use my printables, please leave a comment and let me know if you liked it or if the kids enjoyed the activity. I can only create from the input that I get from those that use it most often!! Also, If you enjoy my blog, posts, or printables that I share, please click the button below to vote for me. Thanks!!

Autumn Printables

I’ve been hard at work on new fall printables, and updating some old ones as well!!  I have so many things to offer, that I think I’m just going to list them and a description along with the link and let you pick and choose at will!!  Please see below and I hope that you find something that you can use.

Autumn Scarecrow Noun-Verb Sort is a ffg where the players sort words according to if they’re a noun or verb.  I used all types of nouns, including proper nouns.  The premise is that the scarecrow wants to sort the crows into 2 fields so that he can watch them better and “scare” them away!!  You can find that here.

There’s Pumpkin Patch UC-LC Cursive Match 2-part cards. The upper case letter is matched to the lower case letter.

There’s also Falling for 3D Shapes Clothespin Cards.  A clothespin, paperclip, dry erase marker, or other such item is used to match the shape name to the 3D shape on the card.  That can be found here.

I also made 2 sets of mirror cards where the child/student holds a mirror up along the dotted line and sees the completed picture.  This works on symmetry and other illusions can be made with them as well.  One is Fall Harvest and the other is Fall Symbols.  You’ll also find a bonus of Halloween Mirror Cards in there!!

Fall Hayride is a generic skills game where you can add the skill needed to work on with the child/student.  The game is complete, along with the “skill” spaces on the board…..all you need to do is add the skill, questions, or whatever needs to be worked on.  It can even be used just for fun!!

Next is Autumn Magnified where the player uses a magnifying glass to view an image and then matches the full size image to what they saw with the magnifying glass.  This game can be found here.

Lastly, there’s a whole folder of seasonal activities for autumn-fall.  This folder includes Roll a Scarecrow, fall graphing activities, Scarecrow Sizing, and Scarecrow Memory.  You’ll also find some Pumpkin Patch and Apple Orchard pre-writing skill sheets.  On top of that, there’s a folder inside of puzzles.

I do hope that in all that, that you’re able to find something that you can use for your home or class!!

If you use my printables, please leave a comment and let me know if you liked it or if the kids enjoyed the activity. I can only create from the input that I get from those that use it most often!! Also, If you enjoy my blog, posts, or printables that I share, please click the button below to vote for me. Thanks!!

Major Updates

I’m going to be spending quite a bit of time over the next few days updating my 4Shared account and adding links to the printables pages of the blog.  I converted many of the files quite awhile ago, but one thing always leads to another and I postpone it or forget.  So, I’m dedicating some time to getting that all caught up.

Little by little, I’ll upload files to my 4Shared account and then add links to the printables page that they belong on.  Some will be my Christian ffg and others will be educational games.  My main focus has always been the Christian games and I feel that I’m really lagging in that, so that’s going to be my priority to update first.  I’m not sure if I’ll do all the uploading first and then add links, or if I’ll upload and then add the link right away.  Something tells me it’ll be easier to upload first and then go through all the links!!

Some new ffg’s have already been uploaded, but I haven’t added the links yet.  I just got started on it tonight.  I figured that I needed a place to start and it might as well be there!!  So, please check the “Christian Printables & File Folder Games” and the “Homeschool Printables & Educational File Folder Games” pages for updates.  You can find the link to click to access them in the right column under “pages”.  I’ll be working on them all weekend, so check back often or just come back at the end of the weekend and be prepared for a surprise with all the files!!

Themes

Well, as promised, I have a couple themes to share with all of you.  I’ve created several items for a Beach/Ocean theme, Dirt Bikes, and Renaissance (which includes pirate, medieval, prince, and princess).  These were all items that were requested, so I made a few things to helps out.

Now I could just give you the link, but that wouldn’t be me!!  HAHA  Of course, I have to tell you about them and your choices.  And, I must remind you as always, be sure to download all the pages or you might end up with part of a game or won’t be able to use the materials the way they’re meant to be used.

First up is the Dirt Bike theme.  In there, you’ll find stationery, stickers and a bookmark with envelope.  The Beach / Ocean theme has several items.  They include a “Deep Sea” shape match ffg, 2 types of jigsaw puzzles, and sudoku.  There’s also a color match game that can be used as a ffg or cards.  The last theme is Renaissance, which includes pirates, medieval, prince and princess.  There’s items like tic-tac-toe boards that can be used over and over if you laminate and use dry erase marker.  There also copy & color activities and bookmarks with envelopes.  You can even find a matching worksheet and stationery for this theme.

If you have a theme that you’d like to see me creat materials for, please let me know.  Also, let me know if you’d like to see any certain type of item added to any of these themes.  As always, I enjoy your comments on what you think of my creations.  Enjoy!!

EDIT:  I forgot to note that I plan on adding to the beach/ocean theme.  I’ll probably add a bookmark & envy, as well as some stationery and other items.  If you’re interested in that theme, please check back later (a day or two) for new items to be added.

Mini-Books

I’ve uploaded 2 new creations to my 4Shared account.  One of them is a counting mini-book called “Farmer, Farmer…What Do You See?”.  It has lots of cute farm animals in it and is for counting to 5.  The other one is called “Five Little Frogs” and is a rhyme mini-book.  It’ll get the readers hopping!!  You can find both of these on the Homeschool Printables and Educational File Folder Games page.  The link to that page is in the right column under “pages”.  Both books will be found under READING on that page.

I hope you, my readers, can use these.  May the little ones enjoy!!

Blog Construction

Photobucket

I’ve been at work on my blog again.  I haven’t changed the format because I can’t find something that I like as much.  Especially the blue background.  I’m just a blue girl!!  Mainly what I’ve done is updated some pages.  It’s by no means complete, but I have a good start on it.

I’ve added a new page called “Follow Me to….”.  This page is all about networking.  I’m on some forums, chat networks and so on.  I thought it’d be fun to share these so that some of my readers might find me there if I’m not on my blog.  Laura got me started on Twitter and that’s when I realized I have alot of communities that I don’t check on often and I’d like to get back to visiting them more often.  That’s the main page that I’m working on and it’s barely even started!!

I updated my “Top Honors” page.  I’ve had it for awhile, but I hadn’t updated it for awhile.  The construction sign is down, so I believe it’s it’s done now.  “Top Honors” is meant to display all the awards that my blogging buddies have so graciously given me.  I also have displayed the ones that I’ve made or special ones that I’ve given to others.  It feels so good to know that my friends care so much and share the blog love with me.  I hope I honor their awards in a good manner on this page.

My blogroll, side bar and other areas are getting cleaned up and revamped.  I’ve made it pretty clear that I want more free blogging time.  I want things easier for me to navigate, but I also want my readers to find what they’re looking for.  A couple of my blogging buddies have opted for starting more blogs, but I don’t want to head that direction….just yet.  (We know who’s really addicted to this blogging thing now!!  HEHE)  Instead I’m adding pages and making things accessible on my side bar.

Finally, I’ve converted some more of my games and other materials into PDF format.  I’ll be uploading them into my 4Shared and then I can put links on my “Christian Printables” and “Homeschool Printables” pages.  I don’t have much for homeschool yet, but I’m working on it….slowly!!  As I told you in a previous post, I counted up my games and have over 100 of them.  That means that little by little I’m convert them and post them to my printables page.  I can only recommend that you check the pages often!!

Maybe one day I’ll have the money to pay for a site.  I doubt it, but maybe!!  LOL  For now, I’ll just update this blog and try to keep myself….and my readers happy.  Watch for some minor….and major changes.  All my pages are listed on the right for easy navigation.  See if you can keep up!!
