Holy Trinity

My lesson with my class today is the Holy Trinity.  Sometimes this is easy to teach…..and others it’s a real challenge.

For my lesson today, I’ve made 2 printables for my kids to do.  They’re both sort of crafty and I think that they’ll have fun with them.  First up is a cut and paste activity to glue the trinity triangle onto a shamrock (I printed this on green paper).  Then, they’ll place the 3 symbols for the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in the proper locations on the triangle.  We’ll discuss how all 3 persons are really the 1 God and how the shamrock teaches us how to learn and remember the 3 persons of the trinity.

Next, we’ll do a heart shamrock craft.  They’ll cut the hearts out and trace the names of the 3 persons of the trinity and color the shamrock.  After that, they glue the 3 hearts on the shamrock to complete it.  It’s a simple project, but I think that it’ll really help them learn the placement the 3 persons.

Here’s a thumbnail view of both projects…..
