Macro Monday: Bee in Flower

Posted by on 16 August 2010

Here is a picture I took on vacation.  I thought this was a beautiful picture.  I like this picture because the bumblebee continues to work and doesn’t fly away when a stranger walks up.  The bee is just covered in pollen and doing his job.  When he was done he rested on the flower then went onto another flower.  It was the most spectacular thing I’ve ever seen.  If he already went into a flower once he would walk into the flower a little bit then come right back as if he knew he had already had been in there. I hope you enjoy this picture as much as I do!!

He really is covered in pollen – what a cute macro. I would love to have taken a photo like this aswell. Little bees are quite understanding of me and my lens aswell……….. unlike butterflies

Thankyou so much for the visit to my photoblog 🙂 Rosie

Oh my, she is really getting into her work. That is a lot of pollen. Great photo, I love to see bees and flowers.

I don’t have a bee today but I do have a bee fly.

Nice shot. She needs to clean herself and shove that pollen into the “baskets” on her legs!

What a wonderful photograph. I wonder if the bee could fly with all that pollen to carry 😉

It is gorgeous! I love he’s so busy in his task that he is unaware that we’re spying on him. 🙂

That bee is so covered with pollen that it’s hard to recognize. Glad you saw it.
