Photography Contest 3: Faith

Posted by on 23 November 2009

Well readers, it’s once again time for a Photography Contest.  As most of you probably know, my daughter is taking a homeschool photograpy class.  They’ve held 2 previous contest on the topics of “Reflections” and “Strength”.  Miss K placed 2nd in both of those contests.  The new contest is “Faith”.

I usually don’t tell you which photo is hers.  I like for my readers to decide on their own.  This time, many of the kids had similar things in mind.  I’m going to tell you which photo number is hers, but I still expect you to look at all of them and vote for the best.  She wouldn’t be happy if she won because Momma’s friends and readers voted just because of that.  That said, her photo is #7.

Here’s the letter and directions on how to vote from the teacher….

Hello,

Our home school photography class is having another contest. The winner of the last contest (entry #1 – Kathryn Patterson who took the picture of the cross)
chose “FAITH” to be the topic for this contest – so the new topic is FAITH.

And for those of you who aren’t familiar with our class – it’s a home school photography class and we have students
from age 11 on up. We’ve been working hard and learning a lot – but for the most part – it’s a beginner’s class and most students
have the bare minimum when it comes to equipment. I am, however, seeing big improvements in their work.

And – we have a success story! Jenifer Patterson recently got her tax number and business license and is accepting appointments
for portrait sessions. She has done a couple of Santa sessions, a pet portrait session at Just 4 K-9’s and she has another one
coming up! She’s doing a great job! Congratulations on your success Jenifer!

Hannah Smart has also learned to do selective color and I am very proud of her for that. She’s doing a great job both in class
and on her own. She’s very creative and it shows in her work.

Anyway – to see the pictures go to:

And enter the word FAITH

NOTE FROM ELAINE:  You must enter “FAITH” from the drop down menu on the home page.  The the next page, you’ll be asked to “log in” with your e-mail address.  The photography contest photos are on the screen after you “log in”.  There’s a number below each photo and that’s the number you e-mail the photography teacher when you vote.

Pictures should be properly exposed, well composed – and fit the subject.

Choose the pictures you think most deserves to win and e-mail your choice to
me at patty.patterson@ sbcglobal. net

I will count one vote per e-mail address. Please vote by midnight, Sunday,
Dec. 20th. We are not having class until the second Thursday in January due to my trip to Japan.

Thanks so much,

Patty

Thanks to all our family, friends, and my readers that vote and support these homeschool kids.  It’s a great class and they’re learning so much.

  1. Question for Elaine

I noticed there hasn’t been any more of these lately…just the Hollidays or has “K” quit the class?

If you read the above in full, you’ll see that there was no class until this month due to the holidays. I’m sure the next time she participates in a photography contest, she’ll have me post it so that all our family and friends, as well as my readers can vote.

  2. Question for Elaine

I noticed that it mentioned a class the second week in January… that’s why I asked
