Small Class and Birthday Wishes

Posted by on 9 September 2009

Oh how I really missed my BIG class tonight.  Don’t get me wrong, my kiddos are great!!  I just miss the larger class situation.  It’s so much more active.  I had 4 returning students and 1 new student.  2 other new students didn’t show up.  Yes, only 5 in my religion class!!

I know it’s going to take them time to get back in the swing of things.  Soon, I’ll have to tell them to calm down.  Tonight, it was just TOO QUIET though!!  I’d ask a question and they’d whisper the answer.  I think the biggest shock was how good my youngest goddaughter was.  She colored and answered questions.  Here I thought she wasn’t paying any attention last year!!  She didn’t get anything wrong.  You almost had to pick me up off the floor!!

I also got to see my kids from last year that did move on.  They’re classroom is right next door to mine.  Some of them grew so much over the summer!!  I can’t believe it.  It makes me feel old!!  My oldest goddaughter was in my class the first year I taught and she’s in the 3rd grade religion class this year.  Amazing!!

Looking forward to next week to see if my 2 missing brothers show up for class.  Also, to see if I get any other newbies.  More kids!!  HAHAHA

And last but not least, I have to wish my mother a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!  She’s 29 again today.  I was able to leave her birthday cards on the pillow when we left after our visit last weekend.  We didn’t really celebrate, but we had a great time and I think that was party enough!!  She’s a great mom and deserves the best day ever!!

    Happy Birthday, MOM!

Be glad you have 5 in your class. I have one! Yes, you read that right. Talk about flying through activities fast. LOL!

Hubby has 2. Most classes are lucky if they have 3. So sad . . .

Oh that’s very sad. What a shame. And here, post chapel is forcing those not in the military (retired, discharged, etc.) to go off post. They say they don’t have the funds or space for those not active duty. Even sadder….to turn people away from church.

Hi! Happy Birthday too. Time’s really goes too fast, and it’s hard to catch our kids especially when we get older, but with God’s help, we could guide them. I am proud with your goddaughter, you understemated her huh?LOL. Thanks for the share

Belated birthday wishes for your mom!

I have 3 kids this year, one being mine. I like a small group. We have 5 new kids this year, but all but one are in the 1st-5th grade group. The other one is in PK.

Holy cow, Laura! Only 1? That really is sad.

Seems we all have small classes this year. I hope it’s not a sign of what’s to come with this world. We’re in sad enough shape as it is.
