The week ahead is going to be a busy one.  I’ll be volunteering at the church thrift store again in the afternoon.  Before I tackle all the clothes there, I’ll be tackling clothes at home.  I have at least one basket of mine to put away and I have to get Miss K moving on folding and putting hers away.  Yes, that’s right, the girls does her own folding and putting away!!  She’s been doing it awhile now.  Can’t learn responsibility if they don’t do things on their own.  Then, when she can’t find something I get to say, “where’ you have it last?” or where’d YOU put it?”.  No mom to blame!!

I also have to get tags for my car.  This is going to be a new experience of sorts for me.  I’ve always done it, but we’re civilians now.  The Man had quite a high disability rating though, so it’s my understanding that if I go in there with this piece of paper he was given, we’ll get the tags cheaper.  Say a prayer that it goes just that smooth for me, because in all the years here, it NEVER has before!!

I have a little grocery shopping to do this week.  Before I can do that, I have to plan out my menu for next week.  My dad will be here all next week, so I like to know what we’re having ahead of time.  I know ONE meal will be out because he wants to try that KFC Grilled Chicken.  Anyone ever have it??  We don’t generally eat KFC because I had my gall bladder attack after I ate it and ended up in surgery.  Had nothing to do with KFC, but it still doesn’t set well in my tummy.

So meals to plan and shopping to do, then Dad will be here.  He should be here a week, if not more.  He and hubby are rebuilding the engine on hubby’s car.  They’re doing it ALL with their 2 grease monkey hands….or make that 4 grease monkey hands!!  Dad did it back in his younger days and his passing his experience on to hubby.  It’s also a way to keep hubby’s old car going.  That is, until our government tries to tell him that he has to get rid of it.  These new 10% ethanol fuels aren’t the greatest for it, that’s for sure.

So there you have a brief glimpse at my week ahead.  Goodness only know what else I’m going to have to do.  I’m sure one or two….or more….things will pop up.  When Dad gets here, I get my workbooks that I’ve been so excited about!!

Alright, with that I’m off!!

Sounds like you are going to be busy! I’m never organized enough to create a menu for the week before I go grocery shopping.

Gosh, I’ve just been thinking how chaotic the whole month of Aug. is going to be. I really need to sit down and figure out all I need to get done. I believe your week has passed or nearly. Are you dragging your butt this week? LOL
