TEA Party

Posted by on 15 April 2009

The people were out in force today all across the United States to attend the TEA Party.  TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Parties took place in the largest cities and the smallest towns.  There was people from all walks of life in attendance.  There were Democrats and Republicans, poor and rich, conservatives, liberals, and independants, employed and unemployed, and everything in between!!  Among those in attendance was Miss K and I.

Despite what some news stations/networks wanted you to believe, this had nothing to do with being a Republican or hating Democrats.  It had nothing to do with being a fan or not of Obama.  This DID have everything to do with being fed up with the way our government has been handled over the past several years.  It wasn’t just a message for the President, but also for Congress and state governors and mayors.  This outrageous spending can’t contiue and it’s time to stand up and say we’ve had enough.  We did just that!!

I was told that it was futile to get out there and protest a budget that’s already passed.  I disagree!!  It needs to be known that me and people everywhere know that it passed, but we’re not going to allow it to happen again.  Not only are our kids and grandkids going to pay, but generations yet to come will pay.  Enough pork!!  We don’t need to save Pelosi’s frog or toad, or whatever it was.  We don’t need to pay for Reid’s special road funding.  It’s time that we make a change in Congress and remind them that they WORK FOR US!!  If they don’t believe they work for us and doing what’s best for us, we can all FIRE them come the next elections.

So no, this had nothing to do with any one party.  It had nothing to do with the current president, but it does have to do with anyone that’s allowed this to happen in the past and any future ones.  The people are taking America back and we’ll be heard!!

The person that thought it was futile thinks that because it’s already happened that it’s too late.  It’s never too late!!  The Boston Tea Party happened after the fact as well.  It wasn’t too late.  It made a point and it changed things.  Change doesn’t happend unless we speak up and be heard.  It doesn’t matter that CNN chose not to cover it.  There wasn’t a CNN for the Boston Tea Party.  The voice was still heard all the way across the ocean.  No, it’s never too late unless  your mindset it.

On a final note on this subject, Homeland Security said that everyone that participates is a criminal.  I’m no terrorist although it seems that our NEW government thinks I am.  Why??  Because I choose to speak out.  If I’m not mistaken, that’s what this country was founded on and has always been about.  Call me an extremist??  That’s laughable.  I’m merely worried about my daughter’s future and that of her kids.  Yes, she was standing next to me and I was so proud of her.  She was part of an important step for America and the people.  There is no better educatiaonl tool then to experience what this country was founded on.

So you tell me….WHY is Washington so afraid of a few people that are fed up??  WHY label us as terrorist and criminals when we’re involking our Constitutioanl rights??

Washington… NOT forget who you work for!!

Hope you are enjoying your day!

THAT IS WRONG!!! the government just wants to stop the protests but it is worth it to speak-up.

I’m so proud of you!! I really wanted to go to one but I didn’t want to travel as far as the closest ones.

The media swine that did cover it were totally out of line and disgusting. I think they need a smack up the side of the head.

I had to laugh at the woman reporter who asked why a man brought his child. HELLO! That child has been taxed enough already!
