Days of Spring

Posted by on 29 March 2009

Just yesterday morning, we woke up to a light dusting of snow on the ground.  Friday it got incredibly cold with storms that turned to sleet.  Yesterday was just plain cold.  The wind was whipping across the plains and you’d think it was still winter.  The sun came out, but there was a definite chill in the air.

Today was one of the most beautiful spring days you could imagine.  When we went to church, it was cool, but nice.  The sun was shining and it was so bright.  By the time we came out of church, it was glorious.  You didn’t even need a coat.  It’s like the ideal temperature.

Just a day apart and such a contrast.  Is it any wonder that so many people are sick!?!?  So what’s it like where you are??

Hi, I happened upon your blog while looking for photos of Cary Grant – and then I saw a long ago post where you named 13 male stars you loved. Oh my, we are in complete agreement on almost all of them. Ah, such handsome fellas.

Anyway, I’m in Maryland and the weather here is cooler than normal – in my opinion. We’re getting into the low 60’s/upper 50’s. Yes, people are getting sick around here too. We didn’t have such a terrible winter and I wonder if some of the allergy issues aren’t due to the fact that the irritants didn’t die back completely over the winter.

I have a blog too if you would like to stop by.

Rosemary, I keep trying to get to your blog, but when I click on your name Blogger tells me that it doesn’t exist. I do appreciate you stopping by and if I find a way, I’ll get to your blog to check it out.

Well you know we were all sick here! Except me? Maybe since I was miserable all fall, God had mercy on me. LOL

We had a little hail last night while I was here trying to comment (and watch the catwalk fiasco’s with my kids). But it looks as though it’s going to be a pretty decent week. Pretty windy and cool right now, but definitely closer to spring than winter. 🙂

Autumn weather here. Two days ago it was hot – t-shirt type hot. Then yesterday we got a bit of drizzly rain and cool wind. Today no rain, but chilly, overcast and windy… here comes winter *sigh*
