Tornado

Posted by on 9 March 2009

No, don’t worry, we’re not under the threat of a tornado….today.  That’s our topic right now in “Life Skills and Safety”.  Today’s lesson is all about tornado safety.  The next lesson will be about tornado alley.  For those of you who don’t know, we’re in OK, which is smack dab in the middle of it!!  This happens to be one of Miss K’s favorite topics and it’s the perfect time of year to discuss it in class.  Most of you are about to enter spring.  But here, we enter the 5th season….tornado season!!

I’ve made a couple worksheets that I’d like to share.  I got all the questions and ideas off of sources from the internet.  However, they didn’t have premade or printable worksheets, so I made my own.  There’s only 2 for now, but hopefully, I’ll be posting more!!  If you’re interesting in them, please go to the “homeschool printables” page (listed under pages in the right hand column) and you’ll find them under “life skills and safety”.

Do you live in tornado alley??  Have you or someone youre close to ever experienced a tornado??  We’d love to hear about your experiences with the 5th season if you have any to share!!
