Our Christmas

Posted by on 26 December 2008

Well, after all the hype and waiting, it’s all over.  So how was your Christmas??  Ours was very good.  Better than expected, in fact.

Miss K had a busy Christmas eve.  She sang with our new Children’s Choir at Midnight Mass.  Immediately after, she was altar server for mass.  By the time we got home and she relaxed a bit, it was very late.  She ended up sleeping in on Christmas morning.  I woke up and had to ask her if she was going to sleep all day.

We all tore through the presents and were very glad that Santa was so generous this year.  That is, we got presents and not any coal!!  K didn’t get the Wii that she wanted, but was just as happy with the “replacement” gift.  She also got the cooking show Barbie and a new Life Twists & Turns game.  Santa also put 2 books, her favorite candy and come lip gloss in her stocking.

Hubby got an awesome toolbox from Black & Decker that had all these bits and attachments in it.  It’s his new girlfriend!!  And that wonderful man in the red suit got me CSI Season 8!!  WooHoo  The dogs got bones and treats in their stockings, plus doggy stockings full of toys under the tree.

We, of course, got each other a few gifts.  We couldn’t have been happier.  We were also blessed enough to share our Christmas meal with others.  We invited Edward, his mom, the couple that sits behind us in church and K’s best friend, brother and their mom.  Unfortunately, her best friend wasn’t able to come because mom was very sick.  I made turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, yams, fruit salad, green bean casserole and gravy.  The couple also brought home baked macaroni and cheese, fruit cake and potato salad.  It was quite the feast!!

I have pictures of our morning, but I don’t have them downloaded off the camera yet.  I’ll be sure to share just as soon as I have them and some time!!  What do you have to share about your Christmas??

I had a ton of leftovers. Without kiddo here, I had to put some of it in the freezer. Still some gravy despite my love of drowning everything in it!! LOL

I’ll be by to check yours out as soon as I get caught up on comments!!

Hey there. This food sounds good right now. The first two days after Christmas I could not look at food. Now I am starving.
