Making Lemonade

Posted by on 14 December 2008

Laura  has graced me with another award. I’m truly honored to have this one, especially with the kind things she says about me. Just look at this excerpt from her reason for giving me this award:  Elaine- When the going gets tough, Elaine gets going. She never ceases to amaze me.  I just hope I can keep living up to it now!!

lemonade-1

This award is meant for people who are positive, show gratitude, and of course:  make lemonade out of lemons!

The rules for this award are that you post the graphic for it, write a post that links back to the giver, and then pass it on to up to ten others. Leave a comment on the blogs that get the award, so they know what’s happened.

Now it’s my turn to spread the goodness and love to those who inspire me and always have a positive attitude on life.  Although I can’t think of ten, here are a few.

1.  Dawn because she’s alot like “Super Mom”.  She loves her kids, but never fogets herself and she’s always on the go.

2.  Debbie (and Shawna) because they always have a story and bring a smile to my face.  They’re what real life is!!

3.  Annette because she makes just the most beautiful jewelry, started her own business and moves along with life.

4.  Angie because she has such a full life and I enjoy reading about all of it.

5.  Jessica because she shares so much with so many people and touches them in ways she’ll never know.

6.  Kathy because she’s a fellow homeschooler that I just enjoy reading, even when I don’t take the time to comment.

7.  Tammy (a.k.a. Cricket) because she opens her life to all of us and let’s us become part of it.

I also want to note that I think Debbie deserves this, but Laura already gave it to her.  She doesn’t write every day, but I look forward to when she does.  She can always make me laugh.  I couldn’t go without Laura or Debbie and they both deserve this (as with any others they’ve received).

I’m glad I could brighten up your day, Angie. You deserve it. I read you often, but I’ve gotten bad about not commenting or having to come back to do it. You have a great blog!!

      Thanks!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I’ve been super busy schooling the boys, taking my father-in-law for doctor ear appts, teaching a science coop, etc. I have neglected my blog this past week. I’m going to sit down in the next couple days to take the award and have fun with it! You made my day as I was having a hard one on the day you sent this to me. 😉 You made me smile thinking how I was appreciated by some pretty great lady bloggers across the country. Thank you! I’ll let you know when I post it

You have been a busy one, Kathy. I know how that is. I don’t feel like I have enough hours in the day. I’m glad I could share something to help makes things just a little better. I’ll be looking forward to seeing what you do with it!!

  8. Cricket

Oh, thank you so much. This makes me want to cry right now. I have been so overwhelmed these days. I really do appreciate this.

Life just took off in a thousand directions. Nothing going the same path. I am trying so hard to refocus and get it all straight. Ha. Is that possible? We shall see.

I will scroll below and above to get all caught up.

You slow down and enjoy the holidays. If my guess were correct….you are worn out and trying to get it all done. Right?

    Thank you again!

    Hugs to you!

    Tammy

Tammy, I’m sorry you’re having such a rough time right now. I’m very glad though that I could cheer you up!! You just take things as they come and don’t worry. It’ll come together one way or the other.

And yes, you’re right, I’m a bit busy. On top of the 3 of us, I’m going to have 8 guests in my house for Christmas dinner. I’m adopting people that don’t have a place to go. I used to do it in Germany and it’s time I got back to it.

    Hugs my friend!!

  10. Jessica

I know I am really late in picking up this award, but, I want you to know that I truly appreciate it. Thanks so much for thinking of me.

No problem, Jessica. I know how busy you are with homeschool and life. You’ve also put so much into the items that you share and your blog. Thanks for all you do and I hope you know how much you’re appreciated.
