Wordless Wednesday: Puppy Ears

What do you mean they don't go on my head? But they make such cute puppy dog ears!

What do you mean they don’t go on my head?  But Momma, they make such cute puppy dog ears!

(This is from when she was just over a year old.)

Do you have a picture that doesn’t need words??  Do you have a picture that speaks a thousand words by itself??  If you do, add your name to Mr. Linky below and add your entry to Wordless Wednesday!!

Running out of Time

I’m really starting to feel the pressure now.  I feel like I’m running out of time.  That’s not a feeling that I experience often.  Usually when I’m overwhelmed, it passes quickly.  Not this time.

I’ve had so many appointments this week.  I still have a doctor appointment tomorrow.  When that’s done, I get to come home to eat and then go to a religious education meeting.  We have to assemble the folders for registration and start to prepare for classes to start.

School starts on Monday.  Am I ready??  Am I going to do right by my daughter??  Do I have enough to challenge her??  Religious education classes are about to start too.  Am I prepared??  Am I going to meet their needs??  Not to mention the bills.  Am I keeping up with them??  Are we really ready for this retirement??  God knows the medical bills are going to kill us.  And let’s not forget about the braces that I still have to find time and money for.

I don’t sleep enough.  I keep getting up adding to my “to do” list.  I cross things off….I add things.  The sleep isn’t an issue.  I do this now and then.  I’ll sleep for half a day and be all caught up again.  Part of it’s being all wrapped up in the Olympics.  I’m truly enjoying them.  Besides, late at night while they’re on is quiet time.  I’m all alone with the dogs.  There’s peace in the house and it gives me time to wind down and put my feet up.  I’m even getting behind on my blog.  I’m not keeping up with comments because I post so late.  I try to catch up on what everyone else wrote on their blogs, put something down for myself and try to prepare for the next day.  I do hope that I’m not forgetting anyone.  If I am, I apologize.

Ah yes, now on to one of my favorite topics right now, the Olympics.  The current medal count is:

The U.S. still has a good lead in total count.  It was hard watching gymnastics tonight.  I refuse to believe that the judges are impartial.  I know basically how the scoring works.  China goes in with a lead because supposedly their routines are harder.  But I watched those little Chinese girls make mistakes….maybe small ones, but still mistakes.  Hardly anything, if any at all, was taken off.  Yet the U.S. team had several reductions for less.  Then, bless her heart, she falls off the beam.  What a shock.  Then she fell on the floor exercises.  Then there’s an over the line by the next 2.  EEK!!  But they were still awesome.  They still got silver.  You could still see the pain on the U.S. team faces and see how profoundly this hit them.  We’re still kicking butt in swimming.  Michael Phelps is on a roll, to say the least.  He added 2 golds tonight alone.  This boy (man) is amazing.  That’s all I can say.  Let’s not forget the women.  They’re there too.  Men won beach volleyball today to put us in the finals.  Women still have to play.  These are some amazing games!!
