Poor K, she still doesn’t have a medal to count for her chosen team.  She picked Belgium and it was a fun country to look at and follow, but they’re not doing well.  Her second choice was Czech Republic and they do have 2 medals.  We might have to chart them instead!!

Oh, and did I mention that Michael Phelps beat his own record??  That boy (ok, he’s a man and I’m just old) is amazing!!  He’s gotta be part fish.  His teammates are doing well also and so are the females.  We almost got bronze in mens synchronized diving too.  They’re all so young.  Ah to have that dream and to just be there!!

OMG!! The swimming was awesome! The USofA has kicked some swimmer’s butt in that event! It was so fun to watch!

Go Czech Republic!!! You know, I’m mostly Czech. My great-grandfather was one of the first to come to the US from his family.

i watched some of the men’s gymnastics and saw the hiighlites of the swimming you were talking about… can’t say i never watched it now 🙂

I know we had a girl from my home town win a medal last night. (Huntsville, Alabama)….Yea…she was a swimmer for our neighborhood pool. How neat is that.

This is great information. I have not watched the news or picked up the paper…I have been so busy.

    Have a great night (day).

    Hugs,

    Tammy

Yes Dawn, we’re doing amazing. I think it’s quickly become my daughters favorite event. We’re having a blast watching it all, but we’re also staying up far too late.

Debbie, that’s a great story and a good reason to cheer for them. I’m actually pretty happy to see some smaller teams like that up on the podium.

Now you should feel better that you’ve watched some of the Olympics, Elaine. They’re pretty exciting. The men’s gymnastics was a good one to watch too. The U.S. did better than they were expected to do. It was a proud moment.

Tammy, that’s so exciting to have one from your hometown. HUbby’s hometown has a few out there representing it and my home state does as well. You can’t help but to cheer!!
