My aunts arrived this week to visit my parents.  I was really happy about this since usually, my parents to “home” to see them.  One of them came here when K was 3 months old and she’s the only one to come this far to see me.  Today, my parents brought my aunts out here to see us.  It’s a 5 hour drive from my parents house to here, so it was a push to fit a round trip and decent day in.  However, we successfully did it!!  They both looked great and it was so nice having them in MY house.  They walked around and looked at all our remodeling that we’ve done.  They seemed to love my colors and decorations.  They both have always been good to me and always shown love for me.  They’ve done no less with the man and Miss K.  There was just something satisfying knowing that they’d go home and tell the rest of the family that we’re doing ok.  We have a good life and happy home.  Family counts for so much.

There was just something satisfying about knowing that despite what I think, others can see how all the hard work and our devotion as a family have paid off.

On another note, Miss K received a phone call from church today.  It seems with 3 altar servers scheduled for Sunday that 1 or more of them aren’t going to be there.  They called to ask if she’d be willing to serve on Sunday.  She was so happy and proud.  She jumped on the chance!!

She too feels like her family encouragement and devotion have paid off.

We had a great visit. My one aunt just loved all the colors in my house. One thing I’m not….afraid to use paint color on my walls!! HEHE

Miss K says “thank you Ms. Laura”!! She’s really happy and excited.
