Wisdom from “the Boss”

Words of Wisdom from the Boss

I’ve followed Bruce Springsteen and his music throughout the years.  What girl, I mean woman, doesn’t remember his butt in tight jeans in front of the American flag!?!?  Yeah baby!!  But, it’s always more than just one’s looks….the man could sing.  The other day, I was watching an interview with “the boss” on 60 Minutes.  Listening to him talk, I started thinking “my how age catches up with all of us”.  Oh, it’s not that he doesn’t still look good.  It’s the things he said.  It’s about how we all mature and our ways of thinking.  What Bruce said wasn’t extremely knowledgeable or even profound.  It just made sense.  It was life.  I don’t have any exact quotes, but I’d like to share a couple things that stood out.  So without further ado, some words of wisdom from “the boss”….

In talking about his music, he said something like:  My music is like Gospel and blues.  You go to the verses and see the blues.  You go to the choruses, you see the Gospel.

In continuing the conversation about life, he said something like:  You can’t pull the beauty away from the tragedy.  You can’t pull the joy away from the sadness.  Those are the things…They each reflect off each other and make life worth living.
